I think it looks almost white on the picture but the background is in fact a dark beigecream with a goldmink plain side. | Just wanted to add that I use a Blanca press to iron my holiday house bed linen and this shows up the true value of the sets - good quality bedding is obedient and falls easily into shape - cheaper stuff has wobbly hems and out of shape pulls. None of that with this lovely stuff. I have been buying bed linen for forty years and have some Sanderson and Dorma designs that are actually that old - just slightly faded shabby chic but still perfectly servicable. | This is true luxury but I would point out that it is very very heavy looking not unlike the wallpaper in Indian restaurants - it would not be acceptable in the summer I feel. The weight reminds me more of a cushion cover and I am not sure how comfortable the pattern would be against a sleeping face. The service from this site is second to none but sometimes actually feeling and seeing the product is helpful. Some of the pictures could be expanded more to give a true idea. |

| I long ago learned that as with many other things in life you get what you pay for. I treated myself to a full set from the Evangeline range and can honestly say it was well worth the money. The quality and feel of the bedding is second to none. My only concern is that Im afraid to put it out to dry in case it gets stolen |

| Lexington was the first bed linen I bought from Dawsons 2 years ago. I was worried that a faux suede cover would look tacky but the material is excellent quality and the duvet cover shape and size is perfect. Around the same time I bought another set of faux suede bedding not Dorma from somewhere else for about the same price. That set went to the charity shop very quickly strange shape didnt wash well looked tacky. I now only buy my bed linen from Dawsons - they are so fantastic on price communication and delivery |
